Story Overview

Yoichi Isagi is one of the players selected for Blue Lock and is placed into Team Z, the lowest-ranked group in the facility. As the players face a brutal round-robin selection, Isagi struggles to identify his personal strengths as a striker while navigating intense internal rivalries, shifting alliances, and constant elimination threats.

Through successive matches against increasingly powerful opponents, Team Z is pushed to its limits. Players must confront betrayal, self-doubt, and the necessity of ego-driven play. As the competition progresses, Isagi and the remaining strikers advance into the Second Selection, where new rules, advanced AI systems, and elite rivals further test their resolve.

The series continues into large-scale matches, including confrontations with the U-20 Japan team, where only eleven players will earn the right to represent the future of Japanese soccer. Each volume deepens the exploration of individual skill, tactical evolution, and the philosophy of ego in competitive sports.
